Item Name
Barley Twist Four Poster Bed
Details Bought in the 1980s, the sellers believe this to be the first Barley Twist bed ever made by Bylaw. It was purchased as a major exhibition piece from the very first Bylaw exhibition stand at The Earls Court Ideal Home Exhibition (Bylaw went on to have a substantial stand at the Earls Court show until 2004). Being an early Bylaw bed, it is thought to have been made using old oak for several of its component parts and certainly appears to have a handsome finish. Standing 6ft 6ins high over all, it is designed to accept a divan base and mattress of 60ins width and 78ins length. The actual bed has an overall footprint length of 7ft 3ins and a width of 5ft 8ins. It dismantles for ease of transit.
