Item Name
A set of 6 side and 2 carver PANEL BACK CHAIRS
Details Back in 2006, you could have paid 5,280 (excluding the fabric) for this set of 8 prestigious dining chairs. They are an almost definitive design for the period 1680 to 1720.The seats are upholstered in a most sumptuous, bold fabric that suits the chairs perfectly. The vendor is happy to keep the two carvers as impressive chairs in their own right, should only the six side chairs be required. Construction is totally traditional for the period style, the joints being mortised, tenoned and pegged.... a method to ensure that such chairs will be around for many generations to come.
