Details Typical of late 16th and early 17th C design... originally seen as three tiers of boards, they began to develop enclosed sections like this example, eventually evolving into the fully enclosed court cupboards and early canopy dressers. An interesting old Bylaw piece, thought to be about 44ins wide x 16ins deep x 50ins high.
