Details Between the wars, with motor cars rapidly increasing access to the countryside... the idyllic Tudor hostelry became the favoured destination of choice. Demand exceeded supply and so called mock Tudor sprung up everywhere with varying degrees of success. Such degrees of success were reflected in the furniture and here we offer a good example of the genre ... a pretty tavern table 29.75ins in diameter by 28ins high with a box stretcher below for strength. See photos...You will see the top did show some marks, rings etc. and believing these added nothing to the character of the table, we have had it refinished by a highly competent polisher.

Reason for Sale

Acquired as straightforward piece of good practical furniture, the top required a modest degree of restoration by a professional polisher from our group of craftsmen.

Known Faults The inevitable ring marks are shown in a photo of the top. They have now been removed following a re-polish
Further Notes The top has been refinished by an ex Bylaw professional polisher.
