Barrel Back Chair in hand finished hide
Details The Barrel Back armchair was the pinnacle of Bylaw Legacy Collection... faithfully reproduced from an antique original. The distinct barrel shape envelops and cossets the sitter. Each flute is individually stitched and stuffed with traditional materials. Old fashioned hessian, jute webbing, white cotton felt are just some of the materials used in upholstering the handmade frame. Nine 7 inch springs form the hand stitched coil sprung seat. The seat cushion is of feather and down and the whole stands on hand carved ball and claw feet made of walnut. If this chair was a car... it would be a Rolls Royce Silver Cloud! This example is an ex-exhibition piece being offered by the upholsterer who was responsible for upholstering all the barrel back chairs ever made by Bylaw. The price includes VAT.
